A short history.

Just down the road from our office, there once was a place called the Friendly Store. The Friendly Store was built in 1856 and housed a general store. But it was much more than that. Here is where the community gathered to discuss the weather (this is Wisconsin after all), exchange information, tell stories, and swap physical goods such as machinery, tools, clothing and groceries. And because there was a 100 year old tavern in the basement, we imagine they also came here to engage in deep conversations (after a few beers) about their hopes, dreams and fears.

The Friendly Store is our inspiration for The Friendly Future. Welcoming our community. A platform for conversations. A connector between the city and the country, public and private, thinking and doing.

And while we may be new around town, we know that we’re connected to a much longer narrative. And that’s one of the things that makes us different than your typical consulting firm. We value context, relationships and the long view. But when your barn is on fire, we're roll up our sleeves and do whatever we can in the here and now.

Lets build friendlier futures, together.
